Hi North Andover! I am excited to help bring our community together during this difficult time while helping raise funds for those who need it. I am the chair of the communication program at Middlesex Community College and have been a photographer for almost 30 years. My wife, Kendra, and I live in North Andover with our three kids, Addison, Evan, and Kate.

Hello North Andover. What crazy times we find ourselves in, I went from being an overbooked freelance photojournalist to having an abundance of free time with no assignments to look forward to. Happy to volunteer my time to participate in this great project.

North Andover!  I am really missing all of the athletes and their families that I usually photograph on the playing fields of North Andover.  Very grateful that I can give back to the community during these unsettling times by volunteering with this worthwhile and fun project.  I have lived in NA for 24 years with my husband Michael and raised my two adult children here – Katie and Michael.

Jennifer Fresen

“I am thrilled to help tell the story of our community and have the opportunity to meet so many awesome families in the process. I’m a former journalist, social media strategist, and designer. I grew up on the NH side of the Merrimack Valley, and after many years in New York and Boston, I am grateful to be here raising my family in a place that feels like home. I’m married to Max, an advertising creative director born and raised in Tallahassee. We have one daughter, Noa Fox, and four ridiculous cats.”

Jen Galvin

It has been a pleasure documenting families during this unique time.  I have been a teacher/reading specialist for 15 years in Andover.  I also own my own business, Jen Galvin Photography.  My husband Bill and I live in North Andover with our two children, Alexandra and Katherine.

I am loving spending time home with my wife and kids, and feel overwhelmingly grateful to be a part of this amazing community. I am originally from South Carolina, but moved to New England for college, and stayed.  I have taught high school English for the past 17 years, and run the Outdoor Adventures Club for the past 6 years at Lowell High School. When not spending time in the great outdoors or teaching, I enjoy cooking and eating with friends, reading and spending time with my family.

Janice Martin Phillips

Janice has spent most of her last 13 years working as a birth and postpartum doula, passionately supporting families as they bring a new baby into the world.  Over the last 2 years, her course has shifted to focus on managing political campaigns and local political activism. Currently, Janice is the Director of Community Engagement at the Northern Essex Registry of Deeds in Lawrence MA.

Janice and her family have lived in North Andover for 15 years and can’t imagine calling any other place home. Her husband Chris is a high school assistant principal and navigating unchartered waters with all educators right now. They have two awesome and busy kids, Abigail (16) and Alex(12).  Janice is incredibly grateful to be able to give back to North Andover by helping to manage the North Andover Front Steps Project.

Hey neighbors! Community outreach and support help me feel grounded during this challenging time. I want to do my part to bring people together, so volunteering my time to support this cause seems like a good start. My husband and I have lived in town with our 4th grader for 8 years, and we love North Andover! Let’s come together for all the folks on the front lines making a difference every single day. We got this!
